Screen reading software

At the moment, Rapport doesn’t work with screen readers. Although you can install it, you have to turn off some of the protection. However, we’re working with the people behind Rapport, to see if they can create a more accessible version.

The company's principal product, Rapport, is a lightweight security software solution that helps online banks, brokerages, and retailers secure their consumer desktops from malware attacks and fraudulent websites.

Trusteer Rapport's primary goal is to prevent online fraud committed by financial malware. It protects you by locking down your browser and creating a tunnel for safe communication with online websites ensuring that account credentials are passed to genuine sources only.

When you browse to a website in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari, the Rapport icon appears next to the browser's address bar.

Google Chrome 3.x and above (Not including versions from the Developer Channel)

Recommended Service Packs:

Windows XP SP3 or above
Windows Vista SP2 or above

For Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6), Rapport supports:

Firefox 3.x
Safari 4.x and 5.x

For Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) Rapport supports:

Recommended Hardware (PC or MAC):

CPU: Intel Pentium 800MHz or better
Memory: 512MB RAM (or more) for Windows XP, 1024MB RAM (or more) for Windows Vista / Windows 7

If your Operating System is not listed here (e.g., Linux, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, etc.), then you will not be able to install Trusteer Rapport security software on your computer. If you do not have a sufficient amount of RAM, as specified in the link above, we recommend increasing it before installing Trusteer Rapport security software.

If your Internet browser does not appear on the list, you can still install Trusteer Rapport security software, but you will not see the Trusteer Rapport security software icon in that browser's address bar. Also, Trusteer Rapport security software will not protect your sensitive operations online while using that browser. However, you can use a supported browser only for your sensitive operations such as online banking.
